In the mean time I resumed using 4kstogram once per day with a different account. I assumed I could try again later and it would work. I was only even logging in to 4kstogram to download once every 24 hours. The first time it happened was mid-August, so this continued for a number of weeks. At first it was just "your account has been temporarily locked", and I just had to receive the email code and reset my password.
